The French prodigy is born to Celestino Camavinga (father) an Angolan-Congolese and Sofia Simao (mother) who is an Angolan. Both parents were also born in Cabinda. Eduardo was born in a refugee camp in Miconge, Cabinda after his parents fled the DR Congo civil war.

Camavinga’s family moved to France when he was two years old. At first, they settled in Lille before relocating to Fougeres where the football prospect grew up alongside his siblings.
When he was seven, Eduardo joined Drapeau de Fougeres, a local club where he kicked-off his journey to stardom.
Rennes: 2018-2021
In 2014, the Camavinga did trials Rennes and enrolled into the club’s academy. On 14 December 2018 aged just 16 years and one month, he signed his maiden professional contract. He consequently entered the club history books as their youngest professional.
Subsequently, he debuted for Rennes on 6 April 2019 in their 3-3 Ligue 1 draw with Angers to become the club’s youngest player to play for the first team at 16 years and 110 days. He provided an assist in the 2-1 win over PSG becoming the youngest player to assist in Ligue 1 at the age of 16 years and 281 days. His first goal for the French side came when he scored the only goal in a 1-0 against Lyon in the 89th minute. Real Madrid: 2021-present
On 31 August 2021, Real Madrid signed Camavinga from Rennes on a six-year contract. The French star debuted for the Spanish giants on 12 September, coming on as a substitute and scoring his maiden goal in a 5-2 victory over Celta Vigo.
He made his Champions League debut three days later when he came on from the bench against Inter Milan. Furthermore, Camavinga assisted the Real’s winning goal. He as well featured as a 85th minute substitute in the 2022 UEFA Champions League final as Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0 to lift the trophy. On 9 May 2023, he made history has the youngest player to make an assist in a Champions League semi-final. This was after he provided an assist to Vinicius Junior’s goal which give Real Madrid the lead against Manchester City in a 1-1 semi-finals first leg home draw. He was part Real Madrid’s team that won the 2023-24 La Liga and the Champions League.

Eduardo Camavinga International Career
In November 2019, only six days after acquiring French nationality, Camavinga was called-up into the France U21 team playing against Switzerland and Georgia.
On 27 August 2020, he received a call-up to the France senior team consequently becoming the youngest French player to do so. He made his debut on 8 September in the UEFA Nations League tournament 2-1 win against Croatia. Camavinga came on to replace Ngolo Kante in the 63rd minute becoming the youngest player to play for Les Bleus since 1914 at just 17 years, 9 months 29 days. Eduardo made his first start for the national side and scored his debut senior international goal in a 7-1 win over Ukraine on 7 October 2020. He made history a the youngest France goal scorer since 1914.
