Ryan Thomas Gosling is a renowned Canadian actor, director and writer who is one of the greatest movie actors in the world. He is eminent in both major studio and independent films. He first gained fame as a child actor aged just 13, on a Disney Channel variety show The Mickey Mouse Club (1993-1995). However, Gosling acquired prominence after casting in the drama film, The Believer (2001). He rose to global fame following his role in the romantic drama film The Notebook (2004).

Ryan has won numerous awards including a Golden Globe Award from six nominations. Moreover, he has been nominated twice for British Academy Film Awards, six times for Screen Actors Guild Award and thrice for Academy Awards.

His parents however divorced while he was only 13 years old and was brought up by the mother alongside his sister.
